Press Release

The exhibition 'What did Möbius know about infinity?' is an immersion into the unique world of infinity through the creative lens of Nelya Akimova and the philosophy of human destiny. The exposition reveals parallels between the concept of the Möbius strip and the path of each individual in life.

Starting with the Möbius strip, a symbol of infinity, the exhibition guides viewers through a psychological journey. It reflects how each person, choosing their life path, becomes immersed in endless cycles, starting from the boundless potential of childhood and ending with old age.

The exhibits demonstrate how, traversing this path, we lose touch with inner wisdom, forgetting our unique knowledge and experience. Visual images represent the transition from initial freedom to complexity, mirroring our lives as we, growing into adulthood, delve into stress, fear, and a loss of meaning.

The exhibition raises questions: will we continue the endless cycle of neurosis, or will we find a way to stop and listen to our hearts? Journeying through the exposition encourages viewers to reflect on the choices they make and the possibility of changing their lives by turning to inner harmony.

Ending with an image of a subway car from Armin Joseph Deutsch's novel, the exhibition prompts reflection on the loss of meaning and our choice to either re-enter the infinite cycle or learn to listen to ourselves and our desires, interrupting this perpetual chase.
