Within the framework of the project, the founder of the school and JS Gallery, Julia Sysalova - curator, art critic, and member of AICA (International Association of Art Critics) - curatorially presents Ksenia Mazheyko, an artist and graduate of the school, with the project "Symbioforma".
Julia Sysalova’s curatorial concept addresses nature as an inseparable continuum and rejects hierarchies between plant and animal. These imagined bioforms become metaphors for ecological kinship and the memory of disappearing species.
In the artist’s delicate ink and watercolor drawings, nature appears as a living network of transformations, where a new cell replaces the body, and vanished forms continue to exist in others.
This is a "botany of the future," an archive of possible life, calling for a rethinking of human connections with the natural world.
