Anna Yakusheva is a Ukrainian artist-researcher based in the UK and working in the style of metamodernism. She was born in 1991.
After achieving master’s degree as an academic artist and interior designer, she boldly and skilfully experiments with traditional and contemporary approaches to representation. Her work explores the human psycho-emotional state and ego projections as a tool for self-discovery and liberation from own illusions and society's standards.
In 2023 Anna created her technique “Quantum Collage” in which she combines watercolour illustration, light, fluid, like life itself and collage techniques in an attempt to convey certain messages and coded “signals” to the viewer for their inner transformation.
She reinterprets glossy magazines as an artefact of our time and applies images and words from them in her works, thus adding additional meanings to the works.
In her work Anna uses recognisable images as alternative meanings for each of her viewers, onto which each projects their own experiences, charting personal unique life path. Each of her works, like each person and their destiny, can be viewed for as long as a retina that never repeats itself.

I am an artist explorer, an alchemist, a practical philosopher of the new age, working in the style of metamodernism and being an archivist of my time.
I walk the "Hero's Path" in search of my own path to inner freedom.
My mission as an artist is to create for all seekers a "place of power" where they can warm their souls, recharge their energy when they need it most, and give confidence to those who seek it.
In my works, which are based on reconnecting with information from above and on my personal lived experience, I show the way as a guide to all those who, like me, are searching for their way to inner freedom and their wholeness.
Immersing myself in my work as a kind of meditative process, I get in direct contact with my Higher Self, with my soul and even with the source of the Creator of our Universe and transfer the images I see onto paper.
For my visual language I use an incredibly versatile watercolour illustration, light, fluid, like life itself. By supplementing the work with words and magazine clippings, I aim to convey certain messages and coded "cues" to the viewer for their inner transformation. In this way, I create my own unique authorial style.
I strive to evoke the viewer's inner, perhaps hidden emotions, to awaken their consciousness to a dialogue with themselves and to show that each of us is unique and is the Great Creator not only of our own lives, but of this World as a whole. My works open your eyes, awaken something very important and forgotten inside, and change your life.
I show how multifaceted, easy and free our reality can be if we learn to trust life and hear the voice of our soul.
