Press Release
Exhibition "Inner Liberation" by Ghala Vasylenko at Halle Ronde, Givry (France)
From September 10 to 26, 2024, the historic space of Halle Ronde in Givry (France) hosted a solo exhibition by artist Ghala Vasylenko, titled "Inner Liberation." This project was not just an art exhibition but a profound exploration of transformation and rebirth through art.
The exhibition presented visitors with a four-stage journey of inner liberation, embodied in paintings, sculptures, audio, and video installations. Each stage revealed different facets of human experience:
● Liberation from emotions – working with suppressed feelings through artistic images;
● Liberation of the mind – overcoming internal barriers and limitations;
● Liberation through the body – exploring physical perception as a means of transformation;
● Universal liberation – the final stage leading to a philosophical understanding of freedom.
The unique circular architecture of Halle Ronde perfectly complemented the exhibition's concept, creating a closed cycle of transformative experience. The atmosphere was enhanced by musical compositions from sound healers Yana Garden and Mike Auburn, specially created for this project.
A highlight of the vernissage was Ghala Vasylenko's original performance – the practice of standing on nails accompanied by poetry from a French author. This moment of synthesis between visual art, sound, and words became a living embodiment of the idea of liberation.
The "Inner Liberation" project marked a new stage in Ghala Vasylenko's artistic research, continuing her dialogue on themes of inner strength, transformation, and spiritual quest.
