Exclusive interview in English features Julia Sysalova, curator and art critic, alongside artists Irina Metz and Veera Romanoff, discussing the powerful contemporary art project
"Eden: Lost Coordinates" presented at Platforms Project 2025 in Athens.
The project explores the myth of Eden as a metaphor for humanity’s ongoing search for harmony, perfection, and inner transformation amidst today's social, environmental, and digital challenges. Through evocative artworks and profound insights, the interview sheds light on how the idea of Eden evolves across cultures and artistic expressions in our modern world.
Our guests
During the exhibition, hundreds of guests and art lovers visited JS Gallery booth, including the Minister of Culture of Greece, the Speaker of the Greek Parliament, and the Head of the Parliament’s Press Office visited the JS Gallery stands.
Eden: Lost Coordinates
Eden is not a place on a geographical map but an imagined point of orientation towards which humanity has aspired for centuries. Time and again, people sought to construct a “garden of perfection”, a space of harmony with nature and with oneself. Yet each attempt dissolved into a mirage, leaving only an imprint within our cultural memory.
