ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Turbulent times make us strive for eternal values. My paintings are my research of world's transformation from self-destruction to re-creation that humanity is passing now, the way towards conscious pursue of Happiness.

Re-thinking impressionists' fundamentals I use three similar but conceptually different mediums separately or together. Vivid full-bodied images are created with oil colours linking my art to historical traditions of depicting eternal beauty of human and nature. Acrylic as a modern synthetic material serves as a background and embodies the technogenic context of nowadays life saturated with artificial news and idealized statements. Collages of multilingual texts reflect the influence of the global media environment and the plurality of perspectives on human Happiness.

I invite the viewer into a dialogue and offer a moment to pause, to listen inwardly, to recognize the authentic amidst the imposed. I believe that via the search of balance - between the outer and the inner, the eternal and the fleeting - we may approach closer to what we call Happiness.
